WASHINGTON, D.C. — October 24, 2026. A newly released set of Pentagon records describes an unusual encounter in which federal agents reported seeing a silent black triangular object near a sensitive national security facility in the western United States.

The encounter

According to reporting on the released documents, agents described a nonreflective triangular object with an estimated wingspan of nine to fifteen feet. They said it moved in unusual ways without audible propulsion or visible exhaust. The encounter reportedly occurred in June 2026; the precise location remains undisclosed.

The records include an account provided to the FBI and a memorandum from the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). These are witness reports, not independent confirmation of an extraordinary craft.

What’s in the new release?

The October 23 release, the seventh batch in the government’s disclosure initiative, includes 28 documents. Among them are historical UFO reports and contractor material about investigations at Utah’s Skinwalker Ranch. Some records discuss unusual phenomena reported by witnesses; such accounts do not establish paranormal activity.

Questions that remain

What was the object? Were radar, thermal, or other instrument readings independently corroborated? And will additional records clarify the event? No publicly established conclusion identifies the object as extraterrestrial technology. The most defensible finding is that federal agents reported an unidentified sighting worthy of further investigation.
